To those of you who have not yet turned in your payment to Tiera, the $100 for the Headshots Fundraiser is due at hula this Friday, August 8. A receipt will be given to you as a record of the money you’ve turned in.
**Please keep track of these receipts and know where they are at all times. In the same manner as past competitions, dancers will use these receipts to confirm payments/balance with Kumu as the competition gets closer.**
Also, if you will be needing additional fundraiser tickets, please have your counts ready at hula on Friday. As a halau, we will need to order a minimum of 50 tickets, and the money will have to be paid to Headshots up front (Headshots is owed $5 for every ticket).
As previously discussed, this fundraiser will compensate for the cost of the material at next year’s competition in California. It was meant to be an even amount for everyone, to be fair and equal across the board. So, in the case that you sell extra tickets, you will have a two choices:
1. The money will be kept in your account with Kumu and can be put toward any other competition expenses (such as airfare, hotel, flowers, etc.).
2. The money will be put into the general halau account for use at Kumu’s discretion.
